A decade’s worth of organizing …
After witnessing the housing crisis unfold in front of his eyes, David became involved in politics on Senator Barbara Boxer’s campaign as a political intern. From assisting with the veterans’ constituency in a contentious year and working to win endorsements for the Senator from conservative elected officials, he came to realize that we all want the same things, we just have different ways of getting there.
David went on to organize for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, the Action to End the Bush Tax Cuts for the Wealthy, Scouts for Equality, the social media start up Nextdoor, managed several successful ballot measures, and is currently the Executive Director for the Virginia Coalition for Progressive Values.
